About Jigiy
Jigiy was initially started at the begining of 2010 as a side project by its lead developer and founder Giles Thompson. Giles, an experienced Software Engineer, was the co-founder and lead developer of the FilesWire P2P Application and started Jigiy to provide "another way" for people to acquire media without having to result to p2p technologies.
Whilst at University Giles used p2p technologies and became fustrated at the amount of viruses that he inadvertantly downloaded. This lead him to invent FilesWire: a wholly web-based p2p application. This partially solved the problem however due to the nature of P2P (many thousands of computers connected together sharing files) he relized that,in time, it was inevitable that bad files would make it onto the network and so... Jigiy was born. Jigiy is a new fresh and exciting way to acquire media without using dangerous p2p technology.
